While some of our Members carry professional indemnity insurance, we recommend that should you wish to instruct them you should confirm this with them directly.

If you are searching for a technical or valuation expert in the field of IP and technology, you may also wish to consider the List of Experts maintained by the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS). In September 2022, APIEx signed a MOU with IPOS to jointly promote and train technical and valuation experts for IP and technology disputes.

All of the experts on this list fulfil the following criteria:

• Based in Singapore;
• Prior experience acting as an expert witness or assessor (i.e., provided oral evidence as an expert witness in court or arbitration tribunal); OR
• Minimum 10 years of experience in IA/IP valuation and completed relevant course(s) as recognised by IPOS. Please refer to the list of recognised courses here (which includes APIEx's Membership Accreditation Course 2024 and APIEx International Accreditation Course for Expert Witnesses 2025).
